Room 40: Fashion Galleries-
The Fashion Gallery shows European fashion, fabrics and accessories from 1750 to the present day. The display is organized chronologically around the outer circle of the gallery. Temporary exhibitions of fashion and textiles are located in the central area and upper level. The national collection of Textiles and Fashion covers a period of more than 2000 years. Most techniques are represented, including woven, printed and embroidered textiles, lace, tapestries and carpets.
The V&A explores fashion from different era's, such as the
1960's,70's and 80's.
