At the beginning of the project I found joomag really difficult to use. I did find it stressful further into the project however I realised that because I played around with joomag at the very beginning, It helped a lot later on because I watched all the tutorials and knew the basics. I personally liked joomag because there was help available and it had all the tools I needed to make a magazine which looked like a physical one. I feel as if my magazine doesn’t look as full as it could be because I found joomag really fiddly and I didn’t leave myself enough time to go back and add in extra stuff. Next time I should ensure that I have atleast an hour to go over my entire project and make any last minute improvements.

At the beginning of the project I wasn’t very caught up with my work because I procrastinated starting my sketchbook which set me back a lot however I caught up a week later. At the beginning I found it really difficult to come up with creative ideas for my sketchbook especially because at the beginning of the century it wasn’t that bright, colourful, modern and fun however I did come up with ideas eventually and added a creative twist to make it more interesting. I found that It was difficult to complete my sketchbook pages by the dates that I had set myself on my SMART targets because it took longer than expected. I also was set back because my printer kept running out of ink so I had to spend more time coming into school on my days off. I personally didn’t feel satisfied with my sketchbook pages however looking back over them once the book was completed I liked it a bit more.

My research folder came along successfully; I printed everything that was relevant to the project and took notes from my notebook and put it in there. I also annotated magazines which helped me understand the typical layouts a bit more and to find out what makes a magazine page look good. I put all of this into my research folder.

My SMART Targets helped me throughout the project however there were times where I forgot to fill it in and would just be working off my own personal to-do list instead. Although this still kept me on track, I found it difficult to fill in the target sheet a few days later. My SMART target sheet was essential in helping me plan my time and figure out what I had left to do.

Overall, I think that my project went well however towards the end I was really stressed because I had more things to do just before the deadline. Next time I have to make sure that this doesn’t happen because it meant I couldn’t finish my project to the best of my ability.
