As the creator of Look Good magazine I made a YouTube vlog about the Get the Look pages in the December issue. I chose to speak about why I chose these three different looks, why I included the different images on each page and how they relate to each look. I have done this to give the readers an insight into the magazine and what I like about each of these looks.
The first era I chose is the 1950s. I chose this era because it was known as 'the birth of the teenager' and it is so much fun looking into how young people have dressed over the years. It was the first time that young people really experimented with fashion and had their own style and it marked a big change in teen fashion. The get the look page is on the Teddy Boys look. I chose this look because I like the style, the way men dress smartly is different to what I usually see young boys wearing nowadays but I love this style. I think this look has definitely influenced fashion trends after the 1950s, for example the 1960s rockers greased back hairstyle is very similar to the Teddy Boys. Even in recent years’ designers such as Paul Smith and Bottega Veneta have created collections inspired by this look.
