Letter From Mrs. Dixon:
Thank you for your thoughtful invitation to recite my new poem. It is very personal and significant for me, representing my involvement as a student leader in the Civil Rights Movement beginning over fifty years ago. Some of my story appears in a book, Freedom's Children by Ellen Levine, Copyright 1993.
The title of my poem honoring my history is "If There Never Had Been Racism".
