Georgia Parole Board Member Joyette Holmes was joined by Parole Board Members, staff, former colleagues and family as she accepted her oath of office delivered by Governor Brian Kemp. The ceremony took place January 30, 2024.

Timothy Ward retired from state government after thirty-two years effective February 29, 2024.

Ward retired after serving just over a year on the Georgia Parole Board. His career with the Georgia Department of Corrections began in 1992 as a correctional officer at Scott State Prison. Ward's career included promotions to Chief of Staff and eventually he was named Commissioner of the Department of Corrections in 2019 by Governor Brian Kemp.

Kemp later appointed Ward as a member of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles in January of 2024.
