Governor Kemp swears in Ward
Timothy Ward was sworn in by Governor Brian Kemp in early March.
Georgia Parole Board staff attended including three other board members. Chairman Terry Barnard and members Meg Heap and David Herring attended as did Executive Director Chris Barnett and Deputy Executive Director Rita Rocker. Vice Chair Jacqueline Bunn was representing the agency at a training conference.
Staff from the agency's Clemency, Field Services and Victim Services divisions attended.
Tim Ward was swon in by
Goveror Brian Kemp on March 3, 2023, as a member of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles by Governor Brian Kemp. Georgia Parole Board Members and State Board of Pardons and Paroles' staff attended in support of Ward. Ward was the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Corrections before his appointment to the Board by Governor Brian Kemp. Ward replaced Brian Owens who retired from state service after his board term ended on December 31, 2022.
