In November, the Hall and Dawson County Drug Courts celebrated the graduation of 13 individuals and milestones for each program. The Hall County court was only the 4th in the state when it began, 15 years ago. Dawson County celebrated ten years at the ceremony. Judge Jason Deal operates the Hall County program and his father, Governor Nathan Deal spoke at the ceremony. Gov. Deal said the purpose of accountability courts is to be able to support offenders if they want help and they put forth the effort to break the cycle of addiction.
