Engaging stakeholders
Throughout the fall of 2016, the Parole Board continued meeting with our criminal justice partners across Georgia. The Board's senior staff led by Director Chris Barnett attended meetings held by stakeholders and others to include training conferences conducted by the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In addition, we continue to support criminal justice reform initiatives in Georgia. Barnett says, "By working together, regardless of the role in the criminal justice system, our goal is to improve public safety. Informed decision making by the Parole Board requires all stakeholders to be actively involved in the process."
