Engaging stakeholders
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles continues its mission to engage all stakeholders in the parole process.
The Executive leadership team continues to meet with groups including the Georgia Sheriffs' Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, and the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia.
Engagement continued in 2021 despite the ongoing pandemic.
“ We are all stakeholders in the parole process and we will continue engaging, educating and encouraging participation in the process as we enhance day to day operations of the Parole Board. At the end of the day, we are enhancing public safety,” says Barnett.
