Course Information
Geography at Keele provides a high-quality, enjoyable and memorable learning
experience for students interested in any aspect of geography. We offer a range of
degree programmes that provide you with the flexibility to explore the full range of
this dynamic discipline or to focus on one of the following Geography pathways.
Geography
Geography provides broad-ranging perspectives on
key challenges facing society, and as a subject area is
positioned between the physical and social sciences.
Human Geography
Human Geography is the study of individuals and
communities, places and landscapes in a spatial context
and in terms of their cultures, economies, societies and
resource bases, both in the present and the past. It
unites the geographical emphases on spatial analysis
and process with the ideas and concepts of disciplines in
the humanities and social sciences.
Physical Geography
Physical Geography is a rapidly evolving science at
the heart of our study of global environmental change.
It focuses both on the features of the Earth’s varied
landscapes, and on the complex interaction of land,
ocean, atmosphere, ice and life within the framework of
a potentially fragile global system. There is a beautiful,
complex, fascinating world out there, and as a Physical
Geographer you have the opportunity to explore how
it works.
