6 classes Explore the world of catapults by designing , making and testing them . Learn about prairies , plants and the history of the Peck Farm Prairie . The program will culminate as we connect the prairie to the catapults in a unique and fun way . If you like nature , the challenge of design and engineering along with a bit of competition , this program is for you ! How Big is Your Footprint ?
Grades 2 nd -3 rd
6 Classes Ever wonder how big your carbon footprint is and how you impact the Earth ? Through teamwork participants will use problemsolving skills and creativity to figure out how to reduce their footprint . Plus , participants will be challenged to become recycling engineers by developing a recycling plan and a recycling truck to help carry out the plan . Also , learn about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and create a work of art that shows others how much plastic is found in the ocean .
