Calculates area of rectangle in centimeter-squares and meter-squares; 2. Uses the area formula of parallelogram and solves the related problems. Student objectives 3. 4. Learns the area units like km 2 , m 2 , mm 2 , cm 2 and learns how to convert them to each other. Solves the related problems with the area. Application, 0.5 cm and 1 cm Squared Paper, Scissors, Glue Pre-Activity Exercises Some problems are asked to the students in order to remind them rectangle area formula which they learned in 5 th grade and they calculate the area of some rectangles as preactivity exercises.
