Process
the problem.
The two walls to be thermally insulated by the teacher are designated as two walls
from the classroom (where it is important that the walls are square and rectangular).
To all groups; The question iki is the area of these two walls and how many
styrofoam are required to cover these walls? Yönel. The teacher asks the students to
take their meters and measure the dimensions of the two walls, square and
rectangular. Other group members are also required to help their friends and hold
their mistress and note the results.
Each group then makes an aspect measurement of the styrofoam and tries to find out
how many styrofoam are required on these walls.
While the students do this calculation, the solution stages of the students are checked
by visiting the groups. Where appropriate, the student is supported and guided by
appropriate questions. The solutions of each group are listened to and the parts that
the students are stuck or unable to grasp are identified.
During the trial phase, the teacher explains the points where the students are
attached by making a return to the students with appropriate questions.
Sample questions are presented to the students both by sharing the area over the
figure and using the area calculation. The teacher can show the groups an example
where the multiplication has the property of scattering on addition.
At the end of the course, one of the students is determined. These students are
asked to share the work done, the problems they face and the solutions they find with
the class. In this way, it is ensured that the groups have an idea about each other's
work and evaluate their work. In addition, with the help of the web 2.0 tool Tes
Teach With Blendspace, a quiz can be used to determine whether students understand
the outcomes at the end of the activity.
Evaluation
Self-assessment scale is completed for the students and the activity is
terminated.
