Each of our students is allowed to join the Edmodo application and join the
class group created by the teacher before coming to class. In this application, each
student is asked to make researches about the time they spend in computer games for
certain age groups in our country in recent years and share the sections that draw their
interest about how the results affect individuals positively or negatively by using
videos, photos, articles, stories from Edmodo accounts. In this process, the teacher
can follow up these shares and talk to the students about the subject. He / she can
interpret important or remarkable shares with the students when they enter the class.
The positive and negative effects of the time spent on computer games in our country
can be discussed. What can be done to reduce the negative effects can be discussed.
Comments and reminders can be made by asking students what information they can
reach with a graph using a column graph showing the time spent on computer games.
By separating the students into mixed groups, the groups are asked to identify at
least three subjects that may create awareness in our country or in the world, and then
make researches and decide on a single subject. It is stated that they will convert the
determined topic into a graphic and share it in the form of presentation in the
following process. The teacher briefly informs the students what kind of graph, line,
column and circle graph are used for and how they are interpreted, detailing their
explanations with examples. Circle graph refers to percentage and degree concepts.
After the subject is determined, the students are asked to do detailed research on the
subject. It is requested that the data of the determined subject is shown in the
