“CATCH THE FUTURE ”ACTIVITY PLAN
Students are asked questions about the introduction activity for their research;
-What's a prosthesis? For which limbs can prosthesis be applied?
- Who is an Orthotoxist? What are their duties?
- Investigate the hand anatomy.
-What are the conditions to be considered in prosthesis construction?
Groups are allowed a period of time for them to engage in work, research (researcher,
writer, practitioner, supervisor and material collector) questions, and develop ideas. It
is requested to take notes of research and answers to the questions.
The answers of the questions are discussed by promising different students from each
group and the results are evaluated together with the whole class.
After the research questions are discussed and necessary information is reached, the
students are asked to design their own prosthesis by taking this information and
limitations into consideration. The groups are given 10 minutes for their ideas and
discussions. They are asked to note the stages, ideas and final decisions they have
discussed during this time. After deciding how to make the prosthesis, the students are
directed to product development and are instructed to start sketching the prosthesis. In
the drawing, the parts representing the structures in the support and movement system
are shown and the materials to be used are determined and noted.
