“CATCH THE FUTURE ”ACTIVITY PLAN
How height will the water reservoir increase if the volume gets double? And so on…
The students are required to draw some graphics showing the water height depending
on the reserved water by looking at their own pictures of reservoirs designed by them.
The graphics will be drawn approximately because the actual measurements do not
exist (Fig.1)
The graphic is the direct graphic because the
height of the liquid increases regularly in time.
The height of the liquid increases by decreasing
in time
because the top of the container gets wide.
The height of the liquid increases by getting high in time because the top of the
container gets narrow.
The activities of
student’s
reflection
The students are required to form an experiment mechanism used real data in order
that we find the solution for the questions. They make a literature review for the
necessary equipment to form the experiment mechanism. They learn the necessary
definitions and concepts. (Meter, batimeter as more modern, is used to measure the
height of the liquids. Batimeter is a device that measures the changing pressure when
we get deeper from the level of sea and lake. Ultrasonic distance sensor measures how
far an item in a particular point is that point. Arduino is a G/Ç card and a physical
programming platform which contains an application of the language of
Processing/Wiring and comes from the processing atmosphere.)
The students with their group friends prepare experiment circuits through the abilities
of making cooperation, communication, the use of information and technologies, all of
which are from the 21st century. The experiment mechanism could be a form of
circuit that measures the height of the liquid in different shaped items comparing with
the time and interprets the results of measuring as a model of space time graphic.
Improvement
Process
As an example, here is a group work that has already been done. The students in the
group determine the main parts of the circuit. (These parts are containers of different
shapes, Ultrasonic distance sensor and holder, Arduino UNO and cables, and
