“CATCH THE FUTURE ”ACTIVITY PLAN
It is stated that a large number of instrument types will benefit from an application to
learn the names and to prepare them in subsequent lessons to keep in mind. It is said
that every two students will create a music puzzle using this application. The music
puzzles to be made with the “Crosswords Program”, which students can easily
download from the internet, can be in the form of Puzzle as given below or in the
form of question and answer.
Sample Puzzle Preparation Program
Turkish music, Turkish World and Western music instrument puzzles created by the
students will be solved by other students in the next lessons and one of them will be
delivered to the teacher. Together with a
group of teachers and students from all the
puzzles created, a Music Puzzle booklet on
Instruments will be created or displayed on
the school board. The group of students
who will exhibit puzzles on the school
board will draw the puzzle on the
blackboard in a suitable place in the school
and will make the other students curious
about the puzzle. Then, the answers of the
puzzles, which are open to everyone for a
certain period of time, will be deciphered
and written by the students assigned with
colored chalk.
A giant puzzle to be drawn on the puzzle booklet and chalk board will be able to
illustrate instruments, patterns, icons (Left key, Fa key, etc.) and logos (school logo,
etc.) that increase the interest of the school. Students in these groups can be selected
from students who are especially interested in visual arts. Since the subject of the
course is the instruments, as a final activity, a suitable instrument from the kinds of
instruments will be brought to the class and introduced to the students. Many of the
most popular instruments, such as ukulele or marimba, can easily be introduced and
used by music teachers in classrooms.
