Planet Fitness of Greater Atlanta Renovates Wesley Chapel Club

To build brand awareness in the Atlanta market, PFGA is a proud sponsor of the Atlanta Hawks. Harry the Hawk, the official Atlanta Hawks mascot, and members of the Atlanta Hawks dance team were in attendance with giveaways and autographed Atlanta Hawks memorabilia to raffle off during the Wesley club’ s anniversary celebration.

Planet Fitness of Greater Atlanta( PFGA) announced plans to open three new clubs by the end of 2016 in Riverdale, Greenbriar and McDonough, Georgia. The group currently owns and operates 11 clubs in the greater Atlanta area along with locations in the Boston, Massachusetts, area.
The development of the three clubs will keep the company busy this summer. The Riverdale location will open at the end of June. Construction in McDonough began June 1 and Greenbriar began July 1. Each is expected to take 65 to 70 days to finish.
In addition to announcing its growth plans, Planet Fitness of Greater Atlanta renovated its Wesley Chapel club in Decatur. The location was PFGA’ s first Atlanta-area club, opening five years ago.
“ We feel it is very important to give back to the community, they are our biggest supporters, and we felt it was necessary to thank them for five amazing years,” Alder Partners stated.
Planet Fitness Wesley Chapel upgraded all of its strength and cardio equipment by adding the Life Fitness MTS line of strength equipment and increased the club’ s cardio offerings. A new rubber floor also was installed, along with new touchscreen computers for the HydroMassage beds and 20 55-inch hi-definition TVs.
In honor of the Wesley Chapel club’ s renovations, the club donated $ 1,000 and 10 46-inch Sony TVs to the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta as part of Planet Fitness’ partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of America. Representatives from the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta attended the May 18 celebration to accept the donation.
