PF Franchisees Continue Club Openings Company: PF Houston, LLC Franchisees: Scott Sanders, Jon Evans Number of locations: 17 with 2 under construction Location of new club: Houston, Texas (Copperfield area) Square footage: Approx. 20,000 On Oct. 9, PF Houston, LLC opened its new Copperfield club in Houston. The turnout was impacted by Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, but the company still saw a great event with 250 attendees and several local dignitaries coming out. Activities included a remote radio broad- casting, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food provided by Chick-fil-A and plenty of giveaways, including PF® swag, two Planet Fitness® cornhole boards and a $1,000 jewelry gift certificate. The grand opening also featured a check presentation of $1,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston. Attendees were able to eat pizza, enter in raffles for free memberships and train with Danni Allen, who hosted small group workouts and shared tips. At the Bowling Green, Ohio, club, a check for $2,500 was donated to the local Boys & Girls Club. Company: PFMW Clancy Hamilton Group Franchisee: John Clancy Number of locations: 27 Location of new club: Cincinnati, Ohio Square footage: 31,500 6 On Oct. 18, ECP-PF opened the doors to its new PF location in Clifton Park, New York. The grand opening went off without a hitch, and the whole community was invited. Activities included free giveaways, food from local vendors, a check presentation of $1,000 to the local Boys & Girls Club, local entertainment from Clifton Park’s World Class Dance competition team and a performance by local singer Chloe Macyn. Attendees included Sen. Jim Tedisco and representatives from Assemblywoman Mary Walsh’s office, who presented the New York State Citations to Planet Fitness. ECP-PF also opened two more clubs in Tonawanda, New York, and Groton, Connecticut. Each opening included giveaways, raffles, food, publicity from radio stations, local officials in attendance and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the local Boys & Girls Club. Last year, PFMW Clancy Hamilton Group relocated their Cincinnati, Ohio, loca- tion from a lightly traveled 15,000-square- foot club with retail closing on both sides to a 45,000-cars-a-day roadway. The grand opening featured a celebration that included 50 members of the local community and PFMW employees, delicious food and a check presentation to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati for $45,000.
