The Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio’s Calderon
Clubhouse was beyond thankful for Taymax’s mini
Judgement Free Zone.

n Jan. 17, Taymax Group Acquisition,
LLC held a grand-opening ceremony
for the mini Judgement Free Zone® it built
at the Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio’s
Calderon Clubhouse.
Taymax equipped the 700-square-
foot space with a treadmill, Arc Trainer,
two upright bikes, an adjustable bench, a
dumbbell set and a barbell set, as well as
several yoga mats and stability balls.
“The gym was extremely well received by
the children at the club,” said Mike Johnston,
San Antonio regional director with Taymax,
Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio

which is owned by Tim Kelleher.
Over 75 people gathered at the
Boys & Girls Club to participate in the
celebration and grand opening. During the
opening ceremony, Angie Mock, CEO of
the San Antonio Boys & Girls Club, spoke
extensively about how well-aligned Planet’s
Judgement Free Generation® initiative is
with the Boys & Girls Club’s mission to
help today’s youth develop into healthy,
respectful adults.
In addition to Taymax’s equipment
contributions to the new facility, Johnston
and his team invested significant time and
effort in the buildout. Rubber flooring was
also donated by Ecore, and signage was
donated by Northeast Color. In addition to
the new space, the children were also treated
with swag bags, a catered meal and workout
tips from Planet Fitness® trainers and staff. G
