Tours and Trends During the Southeast
Regional Owners Meeting
T
he Southeast Regional Owners
Meeting convened May 7-9 at the
Wyndham Garden in Mount Pleasant,
South Carolina. Hosted by franchisees
Alex and Shelley Choquette, there were
more than 70 attendees. The meeting
served as a chance for franchisees, vendors
and representatives from Planet Fitness
corporate to network with one another
and learn about trending practices that
others were enacting in their clubs.
The meeting kicked off with a tour
of a local club owned by Choquette. The
newly built, 31,000-square-foot facility
was equipped with floor-to-ceiling Planet
Fitness branding. The new club also
featured innovations to the traditional
design that included individual Cardio
Broadcast Vision TVs, TVs over the urinals
in the men’s room, a triple street light
in the 30 minute circuit and the new
prototype“PF cyclone”—a walk-through
hallway dressed in silver metal that blasts
cool air onto those wishing to cool down
after tanning or working out.
