What is your favorite thing about the brand? Working with other franchisees, hearing stories of their success and sharing best practices. We have one big family here. There are great operators in the system and I am constantly learning everyday while having the opportunity to change the lives of not only our members but the opportunity we are delivering to dedicated staff that are serious about making a career with my organization. What do you look forward to accomplishing during your term? The PFIFA experience has been a breath of fresh air and is a natural part of the progression of a mature, robust franchise system. I am proud to have been involved in the process from the beginning. Solidifying the franchisee/franchisor relationship for the long term should be the high level concern of anyone who serves on this board. | 2015 Issue 1 GearedUp In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge currently facing PF Franchisees? Finding quality real estate and competing with another low price competitor in your market are the two greatest risk factors we face as multiple club operators in any market. 22 In your opinion, what is the most valuable benefit franchisees get for their PFIFA dues? What we accomplished this past year with the changes made for the 2015 FA would not have occurred if the legal committee and the board members where not fully engaged. The needle was moved significantly and it’s a testament to Chris Rondeau’s vision long term and protecting franchisees in the system. Having a group recognized by corporate whose interest are in line with protecting franchisees is invaluable for a system of this size. What do you do for fun? Most of my weekends are absorbed coaching my two sons on the courts and ball fields. I try to relax and spend quality time with my family and close friends. Tell us a little about your family: I have been married to my wife, Nikki for 14 years we have three sons, Stanley III (13), Nicolas (12) and Dominic (six months). We live in Boca Raton, Florida. What charitable or community organizations are you involved with? Many, but we love Make-A-Wish® and donate annually to help children in need advance their dream. What is your favorite exercise/ workout? My favorite exercise is my morning bike ride down by the beach. It clears my head, gives me a chance to center myself and be able to tackle all the challenges I am faced with daily while growing the company in a fast-paced environment. What do you do for fun? What is your favorite thing about the brand? The value that we bring to the members; the quality of what the brand stands for; the high integrity; experienced and very collaborative franchisees. What do you look forward to accomplishing during your term? The key for me was to help the association get started and then let others run with it. My term ends October 2015. In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge currently facing PF franchisees? Ensure quality growth that is enduring and ensure the brand everywhere is uniformly living up to the brand promise. In your opinion, what is the most valuable benefit franchisees get for their PFIFA dues? The ability to recruit the talent in the franchisee base to focus on high-return projects in collaboration with corporate. For example, the Visionary project, equipment negotiations and many other initiatives to extend our value propositions. There is a lot of talent in the franchisee base. We were watching this concept called Planet Fitness grow like crazy and kill every competitor in its path…was there really a choice? What is your favorite thing about the brand? A compelling brand positioning that attracts and helps so many people along with a simple and scalable operational model. What do you look forward to accomplishing during your term? Working with the franchisees, PF corporate and fellow PFIFA board members to improve and protect the PF brand. In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge currently facing PF franchisees? Increased competition and aging/outdated facilities (many of which need to be relocated). We are entering a time when we need to be strategic if we are going to be successful in protecting and growing market share. In your opinion, what is the most valuable benefit franchisees get for
