PF Growth Partners Organizes Virtual Workouts for Kids

It ’ s no secret that kids have a lot of energy . Finding an outlet for that energy can be a challenge , especially during a pandemic when families have to stay inside and kids have to attend school virtually , rather than in-person . PF Growth Partners , realizing that the pandemic was taking its toll on the younger population , sprang into action and came up with a way to help children get some exercise , get moving and have some fun . Exercise is important , but it ’ s been a challenge for many to find ways to work out during the pandemic .

That ’ s why PF Growth Partners organized virtual workouts for kids by teaming up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America . There was a virtual workout event in Baltimore County , Maryland and one in Broward County , Florida . Each of these virtual workout events included five Boys & Girls Clubs in the area , giving plenty of young ones the chance to get active .
“ We know this year has been the most disruptive and hardest on the youth and we wanted to do whatever we could to help them keep engaged and moving ,” Andres
It ’ s important for kids to stay active – and have fun !
Jara , marketing coordinator at PF Growth Partners , explained . He pointed out that when these workouts took place , a lot of the country was still under lockdown , with playgrounds closed and schooling taking place online instead of in-person . “ A simple event like this goes a long way to keeping kids mentally and physically fit .”
The workouts took place when many schools and playgrounds were closed .
It is uncertain when the pandemic is going to abate and allow people to be out and about again – including kids in need of activity and fun . Thankfully , Jara says that the group has plans to continue these events in the future . When it ’ s not feasible or safe to have people get together to work out , taking to the virtual world is probably the next best thing . G

PLNTF Holdings , LLC Works With Local Chamber of Commerce to Create Informational Video

Recently , PLNTF Holdings , LLC worked with the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce to create a video that was part of the “ Please Stop Here ” series , which the Chamber of Commerce has been putting together . The video shared a bit about Planet Fitness ® as a whole and showcased their two locations in the Des Plaines area . The video emphasized the steps that the clubs have taken to ensure safety and cleanliness for gym members and team members alike .

The “ Please Stop Here ” video series shines a spotlight on local businesses in the Des Plains , Illinois area with the intent of letting residents know more about the businesses near them . The Chamber of Commerce promotes these informative videos on their website , through YouTube and on Facebook . The series also runs on the Des Plaines public access channel a few times a week .
The idea for creating a video about two Planet Fitness locations in the Des Plaines area came about naturally . “ We have an excellent relationship with the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce , like many of the communities in which we have clubs ,”

said Chris Short , director of internal / external communications and community engagement for PLNTF Holdings .
“ We ’ ve worked closely with them on several programs including the Veteran ’ s Back-to-Work Bootcamp where one of our trainers was providing free Zoom workouts to vets in the program . They brought us this opportunity given our work within the
community and we thought it was a great way to promote our two clubs and our new safety measures .”
Short noted that stressing the Planet Fitness goal of providing a judgment free workout with outstanding fitness equipment was one focus of the video , but there was more to it than that . With the pandemic raging on , the group also wanted to help members feel safe and comfortable with coming in to exercise . “ Safety for our members and staff is our top priority , and we felt the video was a great way to communicate all the steps we ’ ve taken to ensure that people can work out in an environment where they feel comfortable ,” he said . The video goes over such features as touchless check-in , Social Fitnessing ®, a crowd meter through the app and the daily health and temperature check for team members . The video also highlighted the “ United We Move ” campaign conducted through Facebook .
