Security & Administration Griffith Central Preschool Dorothy Waide Centre
Signing in & Out
You are required by law to sign your child into, and out of, the Preschool each day
Signing in and out is completed using a digital sign in process that is linked directly with our preschool roll and fee system.
Your phone number is your logon and then your key in your own personal 4 digit code. Each person who is authorised to collect your child is able to have their own code. If you forget your code please see the staff who will reset your password.
Security Access( Central Preschool)
Our site is a secure zone, and to gain entry you must ask via the Intercom and Video Camera Surveillance System for staff to let you in, at the Front Gate.
On commencement, each family will be provided with two Proximity Access Devices( Keyring toggle or Card), these contain the code necessary to unlock the main entrance gate.
This increase security will prevent unauthorised visitors from freely entering the preschool site whether they be plumbers, the postman, electricians, etc. Please keep these devices safe and secure.
Security Access( Dorothy Waide Centre)
Our building is a secure zone, and to gain entry you must ask via the Intercom and Video Camera Surveillance System for staff to let you in, at the Front Door..
On commencement, each family will be provided with two Proximity Access Devices( Keyring toggle or Card), these contain the code necessary to unlock the main entrance gate.
This increase security will prevent unauthorised visitors from freely entering the Centre site whether they be plumbers, the postman, electricians, etc.
Please keep these devices safe and secure.
The Proximity Access Device belongs to Griffith Child Care Centre Inc and identifiable codes are recorded against your child’ s name. When you leave our Service we ask that the Devices be returned.
I have lost my Security Access Card?
If you lose your Proximity Access Device, we will issue an additional one for a small fee to cover the cost.
If your Proximity Access Device is not working please speak to staff who will be able to check and reissue another one.
Someone else picking up your child?
Please complete the ' Alternate Pickup Authorisation ' form located in the Signing in Folder, and also tell a staff member. If you ring & tell us that someone else will collect your child that day, we will note it on the authorisation form – but you must be sure to countersign it when next at the Service.
Enrolled Hours Drop off & Pick up times are not flexible. Late parents can result in the Service being in breach of its license & can place the staff & children in care in jeopardy. If you have an emergency & need to be early or late, due to unforeseen circumstances, please ring the Service beforehand and make sure that we can accommodate you.
What if my child is not coming in?
Please advise the Centre of any absences- e. g.-sick, going on holidays, a day at home, etc. This ensures that we have accurate figures for our attendance roll.
You can use KindyHub Messaging service to notify staff.
Changes to enrolled care days
Any Changes to enrolments can only be authorised through our Admin Team.
Fees Who sets the fees?
Griffith Child Care Centre Inc is ' Community Based’, and a Non Profit organisation. The Management Committee( made up of parents and community members) calculate the fees by determining how much it will cost to run the Centres for the year, and then setting the fee that will be needed to breakeven( i. e. cover costs).
The Budgets for both services reflect the different operational model and funding.
When do my fees start... /... end?
Fees and enrolment are based on a calendar year. Fees commence from your enrolled starting date, until the date you withdraw from a place, or until the Centre closes down for the year in December.
• Fees for the Preschool are charged by the Term
• Fees for the LDC are charged by Month
No Fees are payable in the school holiday close down period.
No fees are payable for Public Holidays or Pupil Free Days.
Two( 2) weeks notice of withdrawal from a place is required. Notice of withdrawal cannot be accepted after 1st December for the same year.
Why do I need to pay if my child is absent?
Your fee has been worked out on your enrolled place( s) for the year, and we need to collect a fee for each of these days – even if your child does not attend.
Therefore, Fees still need to be charged if your child does not attend because of illness, family holidays, etc.
