This change will lead to job growth at the health center. In March of 2015,  the health center  outsourced billing services to a company on the east coast. Originally, the health center anticipated this decision would lead to increased efficiency and some cost savings. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Patients were not receiving services that were consistent with the standards of the health center. Due to those concerns, Jacque Ambrose, communications manager with the health center, said that billing office will be returning to Emporia. “We’ve decided to bring the billing office back so our patients can receive the service they need and deserve,” Ambrose said. “This will also allow us to create jobs at our Emporia location, so this is a huge benefit to our community.” The board approved appointments to the board at the meeting. Board members expressed their thanks to those that continue to be willing to serve on the board and give their time to benefit the health center and the patients served. Additional board members are still needed. “We are recruiting more board members, especially those who are patients of the health center,” Ambrose said. “Anyone interested can visit www.flinthillshealth.org to learn more.” There are a number of upcoming events for  the health center  during the month of April. ✦✦The health center is partnering with Newman Regional Health and other area organizations for the Teddy Bear Clinic from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on April 2 at the Flinthills Mall. ✦✦A chronic disease selfmanagement class is scheduled to begin on April 14 in Eureka. ✦✦The Madison Health Fair is from 9 a.m. until noon on April 16 at the Sauder Building and health center staff will attend. ✦✦A Community Baby Shower from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on April 23 at Flint Hills Technical College is also on the schedule.   98¢ LIQUID ANTACID 12 OZ COMPARE TO MYLANTA $1. 88 EASTER CELLO BAG CADBURRY EGGS 1.2 OZ ASST.
