Volunteer Kansas is offering organizations in Kansas
the opportunity to apply for
Seed Grants in the amount
of $500. Grants are given to
help support service projects
that will engage volunteers.
This is the fifth year Volunteer Kansas has made Seed
Grants available.
“We’ve found there are
times when the absence of a
little bit of cash is the only
thing standing in the way of
a group of volunteers taking on a service project that
would greatly benefit others,” said Volunteer Kansas
Executive Director Nola
Brown. “Volunteer Kansas
Seed Grants help get projects started and ready to
grow just like the seeds so
many of our Kansas farmers
use,”
Ten grants will be awarded in May for use before Dec.
31 of 2016. The application
process is simple. Organizations interested in applying
for a grant should email the
following information to
contact@volunteerkansas.
org by April 17:

organization, including
contact information.
✦✦Up to three paragraphs
explaining the project,
how volunteers will participate, and who it will
benefit.
✦✦A budget detailing how
the $500 grant will be
used.
Projects chosen for
grants require listings as
volunteer opportunities on

www.volunteerkansas.org.
