HOST JANUARY EVENTS

The Lyon County Democrats will have three events
in early January. The public
is encouraged to attend.
Instructors Jon Noble
and Sharol Cutrell will offer “Tech Training for Beginners” at the Emporia
Public Library small meeting room at 2 p.m. Jan. 10.
Local Democrats can learn
how to use their own technology to help reach Democratic goals in the 2016
election cycle. Space is limited to eight attendees.
Lyon County Chair Susan Fowler will host “Coffee
with a Democrat” at 2 p.m.
Jan. 10 at Java Cat/Gravel
City Roasters, 608 Commercial St. This provides
a chance for Republicans,
Independents and others to have a conversation
with a real, live Democrat.
“The only catch is that she
will listen to guests if they
promise to listen to her”
states the press release.
Lyon County Democrats will hold their regular
monthly meeting at 6:30
p.m. Jan. 11 in the Lyon
County Courthouse Annex,
402 Commercial St. Discussions at the meeting will
include the Field Plan, volunteers, campaigns, candidates and people who will
be taking the lead on these
projects.

at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Prairie Grove Cemetery,
Cottonwood Falls, KS.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma, of the home;
sons, Ronnie (Cherryle) Gayer of Americus, KS, Russell
(Patricia) Gayer of Burlingame, KS, Jeff (Lena) Davis
of Wichita, KS, Craig (Maria) Davis of Wichita, KS,
Cliff (Kerri) Sull of Emporia, KS, Bill Sull of Wichita,
KS; daughters, Kim (Shawn) Wilson of Topeka, KS,
Joyce (Walt) Shaver of Topeka, KS, Leda Burris of
Sliver Springs, FL, Sidona Windom of Vale, OR,
Angie Downs of Wichita, KS, Sandy Geer of Wichita,
KS, Pam (Charles) Deitchler of Wichita, KS, Tricia
