KENDRA JOHNSON/GAZETTE People watch as participants in the Polar Plunge jump off of the dock at Mouse Lake on Saturday. ✦✦Open carry of any firearm anywhere on any campus shall be prohibited. ✦✦Signs will be posted at building entrances stating that open carry is prohibited. ✦✦Handguns are prohibited from being openly displayed (except when used in selfdefense or when transferring the handgun to safe storage. ✦✦Possession of a firearm under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited. ✦✦Discharge of a firearm except in self-defense is prohibited. ✦✦Possession, storage, transportation, trading, selling or any other use of a firearm is prohibited except as allowed by law. ✦✦Each individual who lawfully possesses a concealed handgun on campus shall at all times have the handgun in their custody and control, and shall either keep it on their person with safety mechanism, if any, engaged, or stored (1) in any secure storage location provided by the university specifically for that purpose; (2) at their residence or (3) in their vehicle. ✦✦Handguns in a vehicle on camp W2
