After
arriving
at
her
uncle’s
huge,
cold
and
lifeless
mansion,
Mary
breaks
down
to
compassionate
Nurse
Martha
about
all
that
has
happened
and
her
fear
of
what
lies
ahead
for
her.
In
the
meantime,
Uncle
Archibald
can
think
of
nothing
but
his
lovely,
departed
wife,
Lily,
whom
he
lost
way
too
soon.
As
the
music
swells
in
their
hearts,
Archibald
reconnects
with
Lily’s
soul
and
they
dance
around
the
lonely
mansion
once
more.
Nurse
Martha,
Dickens,
and
Ben
lament
to
Mary
about
the
dilapidated
state
of
Lily’s
secret
garden
and
how
the
key
to
enter
it
has
never
and
probably
will
never
be
found.
They
also
try
to
impress
on
her
that
it
is
forbidden
territory
as
far
as
Uncle
Archibald
is
concerned.
