Bring Your Child To Work Day A Successful Event at Gateway
We all know that children are used to being in the classroom at their own school every day, but on annual Take Your Child To Work Day they get to see school from a totally different angle. They had an opportunity to learn about their parents multifaceted workday responsibilities along with the multiple jobs and activities associated with the running of a school. The students experienced working in the classrooms, business offices, and the cafeteria. The following pictures track some of the activities they did throughout the day, which they enjoyed thoroughly.
After grabbing a quick breakfast of bagels and juice in the faculty room, our young visitors went to the cafeteria where they proceeded to create their own personal pan pizzas, which they ate later in the day for lunch.( First we feed them, then we put them to work!) The variations were quite interesting and unique.( l-‐ r standing) Rachel Minot, Cole Ambrosius, Lily Stiles and Meridith Mandala;( l-‐ r sitting) Finn Joniec, Marisa Genzano, Anna Evans, Tyler Polis, Nicky Genzano and( far right) Rachel Mandala.
