Student Council students give unselfishly of their time and talents during the American Red Cross blood drives in November and February . Under the guidance of Ms . Dana Layng , Student Council advisor , students worked tirelessly with the Red Cross , blood donors , and one another on this successful venture . Mrs . Green , high school assistant principal , bestows freshman Joe Dougherty with the People ’ s Choice Award medallion on Monday , May 13 th . Joe was one of 35 students who were honored by the teachers , staff , and faculty at Gateway with this award . Students were chosen based on what they have done in their own lives that positively impacted others . Gateway congratulates all 35 students on their impressive accomplishments .
