History of Garuda Indonesia Female Cabin Crew, Junior & Senior Female Cabin Crew, Junior & Senior Explore & Explore Jet Cabin Crew Male Cabin Crew Chef on Board The female cabin crew uniform is available in three different colours: 1. Cobalt blue, for Flight Service Managers (FSM), exudes trustworthiness, authority and calm. 2. Tosca, for senior and junior cabin crew, gives a sense of sophistication and tropical freshness. 3. O  range, also for senior and junior cabin crew, gives a warm, friendly and energetic vibe. Female Maître d’Cabin In 2013, Garuda Indonesia added the colour lilac to the collection of female cabin crew uniforms for Maître d’Cabin (MdC). MdC are more experienced and specially trained as cabin coordinators for each service class (First Class, Business Class and Economy Class). Lilac is used to express elegance, inspiration and creativity. In flights that implement the ‘New Service Concept’, the cabin crew includes a Chef in the First Class cabin and a Manager Cuisine in the Business Class cabin. Male Cabin Crew Female Cabin Crew Male Chefs (First Class) Before take-off, male Chefs wear the male cabin crew uniform. After take-off, they change their suit jacket, waistcoat, shirt and tie to a white Chef jacket and apron. 145 Manager Cuisine Female Chefs (First Class) Female Chefs wear a short-sleeved light blue blouse with a grey blazer and trousers, completed with a Garuda Indonesia motif batik scarf in tosca. After take-off, female Chefs change their blazer, blouse and scarf to a white Chef jacket and apron. Male Manager Cuisine (Business Class) Male Managers Cuisine change their suit jacket, waistcoat, shirt and tie to a black Manager Cuisine jacket and apron after take-off. Female Manager Cuisine Female Managers Cuisine also change their blazer, blouse and scarf to a black Manager Cuisine jacket and apron after take-off. Explore & Explore Jet Cabin Crew In November 2013, Garuda Indonesia officially began operation of its ATR 72-600 fleet, which was introduced as the Garuda Indonesia sub-brand ‘Explore’, flying to remote areas around the archipelago. To accommodate mobility in the slender aircraft, a new, specially designed cabin crew uniform was introduced for ATR aircraft. This uniform is also worn by Cabin Crew in the Bombardier CRJ1000 NextGen aircraft, operated under the Garuda Indonesia sub-brand ‘Explore Jet’.
