Ptolemy Cluster (M7)
Messier 7 (M7) is a large, magnificent open cluster located
in the constellation of Scorpius. This bright cluster of about 80
mixed-magnitude stars is located about 980 light years from
Earth. It was named the Ptolemy Cluster because it was first
recorded by the Greek astronomer and mathematician Claudius
Ptolemy in the second century. Messier 7 is one of the few
Messier objects that is easily detectable with the naked eye.
Andromeda Galaxy (M31)
This is the most distant object in the
sky that you can see with the naked eye,
even in areas with moderate light pollution.
Our Milky Way’s closest neighbour, M31 is a
spiral galaxy located in the constellation
Andromeda approximately 2.5 million light
years from Earth. With more than eight
hours’ exposure, this image shows a region
spanning more than 220,000 light years.
Bintang ini adalah objek kosmis terjauh

Messier 7 (M7) merupakan gugus terbuka besar yang
terletak di rasi bintang Skorpio. Gugus bintang dengan terang
bermagnitudo 80 berada sekitar 980 tahun cahaya dari Bumi.
Dinamakan Ptolemy Cluster karena ditemukan pertama kali
oleh ahli astronomi dan matematika Yunani Claudius Ptolemy
pada abad kedua. Messier 7 adalah satu dari sejumlah objek
Messier yang mudah diidentifikasi tanpa bantuan teleskop.
