A collaboration between speed-record driver Alain Prost and timekeeping expert Richard Mille has produced the exclusive RM 70-01 Tourbillon Alain Prost watch , supported by Italian bicycle maker Colnago . The collection is presented in a limited edition of 30 handmade units .
Richard Mille was inspired by Prost , a four-time Formula One world champion as well as a passionate cyclist . From conversations with Prost as well as several cyclists , Mille was able to establish that they undergo difficulties in trying to remember the total distance they have covered throughout the competitive season .
A solution is presented in the RM 70-01 , which is equipped with an odometer , or recorder of distance travelled , as well as a tourbillon calibre that has the ability to calibrate to avoid any mistakes in time calculation , made from anti-abrasive grade-five titanium .
