Recently there has been a renewed interest in rice , especially heritage varieties , in Indonesia . Two restaurants in Indonesia are leading the way when it comes to showcasing these special grains . In Bali , the brand-new Kaum , located on the first floor of the Potato Head Beach Club , serves Jatiluwih rice , personally sourced directly from independent owners , in five different ways . Nusa Gastronomy , located in South Jakarta , was founded by celebrity chef Ragil Imam Wibowo and features delicately and perfectly prepared red Adan Krayan heritage rice .
