Chief Brandon Zuidema was selected as the 2018
President of the North Carolina Association of
Chiefs of Police. Chief Zuidema also was selected
as the 2018 Civitan Member of the Year. Shaun Curry, Scott Klein, Patrick Lee, and Nathan
Price were awarded the Life-Saving Award for their
efforts in administering CPR to a patient, which
allowed him to be stabilized for transport to the
hospital for further treatment.
Chris Clayton, Brian Lawrence, Greg Holding,
Skyler Reeve, and Adam Wolfe were awarded
individual Department Commendations in
recognition of their outstanding efforts in
investigating six serious crashes this past year as Scott Selvek, Chad Gorman, Hunter Miller, Michael
Simon, and Will Simpson were awarded individual
Departmental Commendations for assisting in
the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana from
a local house.
