ARISE: Journey League Basketball
ARISE( Adaptive Recreation and Inclusion Services for Everyone) Journey League Basketball is an adaptive basketball program that encourages participants with special needs to play a team sport in a positive, self-esteem building environment. Athletes learn the fundamentals of basketball through drills and fun adaptive games. Participants should wear gym clothes, athletic shoes, and bring a water bottle. Personal Assistants are welcome. Location: Garner Recreation Center

This 2-hour adaptive pickleball clinic is designed to provide individuals of all abilities with a fun, supportive, and inclusive introduction to the sport of pickleball. Whether participants are new to the game or looking to improve their skills, the clinic offers a welcoming environment that emphasizes learning, confidence-building, and community. Men’ s Basketball Leagues
This basketball league is designed for adults who want to maintain their basketball skills and enjoy competitive play. The winter season starts in late Feb and conclude in Mar. The fall 2026 season starts in Sep and concludes by mid- Nov. Teams are responsible for providing their own jerseys. Location: Garner Recreation Center

Adult Basketball Free Agents and Weather: Individual registrants should register for the free agent waitlist. Teams may be formed or players added to underfilled rosters. Practices and games canceled due to weather may not be rescheduled. Email athletics @ garnernc. gov with questions.
