Also, for the first time, the Railways have admitted that the water quality monitoring procedure was flawed as it considered up to 10 units of thermotolerant coliform bacteria in 100 ml. samples as being permissible. Half out of 541 water chlorination plants in the northern India are not functioning and that has been cited as the cause of contamination. The time has come to act on grass root that is in water purifying plants over smartphone apps.
Sauni Project reunites families The Saurastha Narmada Avtaran Irrigation Yojona is helping thousands of Gujrati people, who had migrated in search of livelihoods, to return home. The project worth Rs. 12,000 Crores plans to fill up 115 dams of the Sourasra region with excess water from the Sardar Sarover dam across the Narmada river. Although the project promises water to over l900 villages across the Saurashtra region, the experts are skeptic about this project as many such schemes had not yielded desired results across the world.
