Then one of their most known games, FIFA 17. This game looks amazing, I am not going to lie. The Frostbite Engine really helps this game's graphics. The immersive side of the career really helps this game become more than just another Soccer game. This game brought a campaign called "The Journey" that steps out of what’s common on most sports games. Although I am not a fan of Soccer Games, this game for me was a huge win. I know many gamers who will jump out of their seats for this game. Thumbs up!

Then they showed a strategy to bring more indie games through EA Originals. I don't know how I feel about this because there are many indie developers who want to grow on their own but both Sony and Microsoft have their own Indie Games strategies. The first game they showcase from EA Originals was Fe, which was very reminiscent of Ori and The Blind Forest. The game, from what I gathered, is a type of open world non-linear indie game where you create your own adventure. Although it sounds like an interesting game, the trailer didn't help it. I feel like it could be presented better. For me it was not a win.

After EA Originals, they started to talk about all their Star Wars Games. I believe this

part was all over the place. Some games were interesting but nothing was really

shown in an immersive way for us, the gamers, to really see or understand. The

trailer was a lot of talking and videos of artist drawing, not much gameplay or

cinematics. I believe this part of the presentation was rushed because of

time constraints. Although the thought of many Star Wars games that will

look and feel amazing is awesome, for me this was a bust, just because

of the lack of organization in the presentation!

The last game that was showcase was Battlefield 1. If you read my previous blog post about this game, you will know I am not a really

big fan of this IP. The cinematic trailer looks

amazing, but how much of this will actually

translate to the game? I have conflicting emotions

for this game. They presented Jamie Fox and

Zack Efron, which did not seem excited at all

about playing this game, as the captains of 2

team of a 32 vs 32 multiplayer match. I feel like they should have shown a bit of gameplay on their presentation. For me not a bust but not a win!

For me, EA's conference overall was too slow. There was too much talking, not enough trailers and not enough excitement. 5 out of 10 for me!
