Gamers Unite July 2016 | Seite 24

Let’s start off with a Happy Anniversary to

Ubisoft on its 30 years. The presentation

started with a dance number, which for me

was a bit weird for an E3. It had like 20

dancers with costumes of giraffes, lions and

other different animals. This dance number

was to showcase Just Dance 2017. I get their idea behind the dance number but I would have loved for it to be complemented with a trailer of the game. I felt that it was all over the place. For me, this was not a win!

After this peculiar start to their conference, they moved on to Tom Clancy's Ghost: Recon Wildlands. The cinematics look very crisp and very incredible. Unfortunately, for me I won't be pre-ordering this game unless I am completely sure that the graphics, fluidity and gameplay end up in the final product. The gameplay trailer that was shown was really detailed and showed a lot of different aspects of the game, which for me is awesome because many short trailers leave gamers with questions. They also announced the release date to be March 7, 2017. If the final product looks and feels as amazing as the trailer, this game will be a definite win!

Then they showcased South Park: The Fractured but Whole. I am not a big fan of South Park, therefore I am not a huge fan of this game or the previous one, The Stick of Truth. In this instance, the kids are playing superheroes. Honestly, I really don't know how to feel about the game. The trailer had a few funny moments but I sometimes feel their type of comedy is a bit dependent on certain words, which for me gets repetitive and eventually loses its appeal. For me a bust, but I know that for many it is not.

Going back to one of last year's game, Tom Clancy's: The Division. They started to talk about the new updates and DLCs coming for the game. They also talked about 3 new outfits for the players, which are from 3 other Tom Clancy games. I am really underwhelmed about this game. I feel like there were many ideas that they decided last minute not to include in the game and add them as DLC. The Division is a game that I personally completed in just shy of 30 hours complete with all side-quests and once I got to the Dark Zone I honestly got bored of the game. So, I am not feeling these new DLCs. For me, unfortunately it's a bust!

After this, we got Eagle Flight VR. This game feels like it would look awesome on VR but on the trailer itself looked underwhelming. The game looks like it is hard to control and that real skill is needed to be able to play well.
