fan base made the move: they collected thousands of signatures begging for help to make Dean’s dream true. Sony Studios answered to their claim within hours and contacted Dean. He was overwhelmed not only by the support he got during his journey, but the concrete help that made his dream come true.
Sony Studios made a contract with Dean, which promised a full release for his game plus an extra 40 thousand USD for him to finance his next project. Dust: An Elysian Tail was release on August 15th 2012 with a price of 7,50 USD, half of its actual cost. He used the money he earned to re-inaugurate Humble Hearts LLC, a company he established in 2002, but that has been inactive ever since. Most of the workers on his firm are those people who supported and offered him their helping hands throughout the development of his project. Humble Hearts became active once again the 9th of January 2013 and participated on the re-release of Dust: An Elysian Tail’s port for PC and mainly Microsoft Windows operative system through Steam the 24th of May 2013. Since the day of the release of his masterpiece, Dean Dodrill has been named as “The One-Man Army” by game developing companies all over the globe.
