Critiques/Problems: Pay to Win (Difficult to get far without paying real money)
- Kabam Inc. purchased the game from WildShadow Studios and then proceeded to add many real-world transactions including a premium currency called Realm Gold. The loot drop percentage had also been lowered in order to get more people to buy gear from the Nexus (safe area). The perma-death concept is also very severe, other games with the same style give the player bonuses after their character dies but Realm only gives a few points called Fame, the amount is based on how long the character lived
Realm is still a very fun and enjoyable game despite it's few flaws which it makes up for by introducing new content through frequent updates. The Graphics, Gameplay and Core Concepts are appealing, the main driving force to keep playing the game is to make a character and fully maximize it's characterisitic as well as getting rare loot. My final rating for Realm of the The Mad God, is an 8/10.
