Tristin Langan
Will Have Plenty of Options
One of Swan River’ s best young hockey players, Tristin Langan, has the same goals as most kids in the game. He wants to play in the National Hockey League someday. But Langan isn’ t delusional. He knows as well as anyone that when it comes to the NHL, many are called, but few are chosen. That’ s why, on his way to WHL stardom with the Moose Jaw Warriors, Langan finished high school with strong marks. Now, if the NHL doesn’ t come calling, the 18-year-old leftwinger can always play U Sport hockey and get himself a university degree.
Tristin Langan’ s goal is a simple. He wants to be a professional hockey player. And, let’ s be honest, he’ s not the only teenager in Canada who has had that dream. However, Langan, who turned 18 on Dec. 15, isn’ t crazy. The young winger from Swan River knows how hard it is to reach the big time. In fact, he knows how hard it is just to get a chance.“ I think any kid wants to play in the NHL and I’ m no different,” said Langan late last summer at Jonathan Toews Community Centre in Winnipeg.“ I mean, that’ s what I want. I was 17 when the season started, playing in the WHL and, yeah, someday I’ m going to try to
