Football League, Tir Chonaill Gaels had looked the
team to beat as they led the
standings and duly qualified

However, it wasn’t clear
which team would meet them as Fulham Irish and Kingdom Kerry Gaels were the next best and battling for a
place in the final. These two met in the last round of the
league and in a close affair, it was Fulham that came out
best by the minimum. The final was played on Sunday
last August 8th and this turned out to be a facile victory
for Tir Chonaill Gaels when they proved too good for
Fulham Irish when winning by 2-17 to 0-12.

It has been a great season to date for the St. Joseph’s football team as the prior weekend saw them record their second cup title of the year. They had earlier won the Murphy
Cup and then impressed all through the Sheils competition and qualified for the final where they met Garryowen
