RENNES DOMINANT
The Ladies France Championship is run differently than
the men’s section as it is held over four rounds with teams
accumulating points towards the championship. The team
to beat from the start were reigning champions Rennes and
from the very first round at Bordeaux in March they made
their intentions known with a strong victory. Paris last year’s
runners up in the championship were expected to prove
Rennes toughest opponents but this scenario did not quite
materialize as third placed Bordeaux last season had something to say about that. Plus this year new outlet Morbihan
had big ambitions. Ahead of the final round at Guerande
Rennes had won all three previous rounds of the championship and they continued their unbeaten round in the final
episode to garner another championship. Morbihan had a
great tournament as runners-up and Bordeaux who finished
third at Guerande ended up second overall in the championship. Paris who disappointed in the final round ended up in
third place in the championship.

three teams from the Federal zone qualified for the France
Finals and they were Liffré, Rennes, Nantes along with Paris,
Bordeaux and Toulouse. Paris were the Federal and French
defending champions and so had to be respected. Bordeaux
