CAMOGIE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS WORKSHOP IN SWITZERLAND

The Camogie Association in
Ireland conducted a Camogie
Workshop at the second round
of the 2014 European Hurling
and Camogie Championship last
month in Zurich. The event was
organised to provide skills and
coaching instruction for the development of the game and to
support Camogie teams in Europe. Zürich Inneoin GAA club
hosted the tournament and the
workshop was carried out by Ger
Gribben, Camogie RDO, at the
Milandia der Migros Sport und
Erlebnispark.
The Camogie Association in
conjunction with Europe GAA,
has in the past conducted several
workshops across Europe as part
of their ongoing development of
Camogie at grassroots level in European countries.
Taking part in the sessions were
Camogie players from Belgium
and Zurich as well as two sports
journalists from Lugano, Switzerland and a couple of beginners
from Dresden, Germany. As well
as Camogs, hurlers from Zurich,
Belgium, Dresden and Munich
were encouraged to take part and
