Connor’s take
charge of Indy
Leaderboard
After the latest round of games in
this year’s Indy Summer Hurling
League at Eugene Byrnes Field last
Sunday, June 1, there was no changes
to the top of the Leaderboard with
Connors in pole position followed
by 2Gingers.
Gaelic Sports World last reported,
in our Sample first issue, on the action from May 4, with 2Gingers then
top dog. Round 5 on May 11, saw
no changes to the top. But 2Gingers
lost some gloss when plucky Upland
forced a high scoring draw. Connor’s
had just four points to spare over
Pogues, with a narrow win for Health
Source over Claddagh and Renner’s
defeated Good Earth. But the following Sunday, May 18, the No. 1
status shifted to Connor’s when they
downed 2Gingers by 3-14 to 3-9, to
claim sole possession of the lead.
There were wins also for Renner’s,
Pogues, and Health Source with the
table seeing 2Gingers remaining in
second and Renner’s in third.
After the Memorial Weekend
break, it was back to action again on
Sunday last with the June 1 schedule
marking the second half of the Indy
league.
