King of the Rails- Trail the History of Railroads & Model Railroading Many have been wondering where are the model trains we have been hearing about? Things have been progressing for our first station to appear in King NC. Our first storefront will be at Gullion’s Christian Supply Center in King (607 S Main St, King, NC 27021) Our first track is now officially open. Our second location will be in downtown Mt. Airy at Prudence McCabe Confections. (192 N Main Street Suite 400 Mount Airy, NC 27030) A map of where each location will be at can be picked up at each station, it is printed below with our projections.. Each location can be found at a small business who has agreed to allowing us to have their front window, the trains will pass in front of window then back into the store for others to see. How will the “King of the Rails Trail” be funded? With a project like this, there will be costs related for upkeep. There will be a donation box if you feel you would like to do that, but there is no obligation, We want all children to come as often as they like. There will be buttons that they can press to operate the trains and more. Anyone interested in donating trains can contact David Eriksen at 336.480.4519.
