PROJECT EXTRAODINARE

-THE MECHANICAL DREAM

By Shyam Tenali

The same motto has been instilled in two such seniors of GITAM University who have conceptualized a design to revolutionize internal combustion engines of modern day. Raviteja Soringala , an Industrial third year has taken up this project more or less as a challenge in his early years as a student to create a combustion engine that utilizes Liquid Nitrogen as a propellant instead of the usual fossil-fuel.

The engine’s current design is being worked upon for better adjusting the equipment for the commercial market. Raviteja has also worked before in other premiere projects that involve a mechanical engineer’s prowess.

So the Big question is yet to be asked, what is the project’s future scope? Ravi laughs it off saying “I have always aspired to make my own engine. During my inter, my dad denied me a bike it is since then I started obsessing about engines and its parts.”

Projects. It is the one thing that actually separates the engineer from the rest of the crowd. Many of us dream of building their own innovations much so to make a contribution to the scientific community.
