Electronic Fog:A strange thick cloud appears from nowhere and engulfs a ship or a plane. Instruments begin to malfunction, and finally the ship or the aircraft vanishes without a trace.
Abnormal Magnetic fields:There have been theories to cause the compass to point to the true North Pole instead of the magnetic North Pole due to the presence of certain unusual and abnormal magnetic differences in the area.
Seismic activity:This area houses a large number of trenches resulting in the formation of a steep drop in the ground which eventually intensifies the seismic activity. The underwater earthquakes in this region can also cause extremely large waves. For a moment, a sea that looks calm and picture perfect can be transformed into a treacherous one and these large waves are also estimated to be the reason behind all the disappearances at the Bermuda Triangle.
Methane Gas:There is a large presence of methane gas in the ocean floor of this area. There are various reasons for this occurrence. The methane gas is formed due to the decayed bodies of the sea creatures. If there were periodic eruptions of methane, it would not be able to provide the required flexibility for the ships to sail in the waters. These eruptions can cause the ships to sink without a hint of warning. During the times of such eruptions, even an aircraft faces danger, as it can catch fire immediately. Methane also constitutes the power to stall engines once it is released into the air.
Sargasso Sea:It is a strange area that has no shores and bounded only by water currents on all sides. Many ships passing through it have been stranded and made motionless.
Aliens:Well, there is a belief that there are aliens interrupting the mechanical and electrical functioning of planes and ships and finally making them lose their lift and buoyancy respectively.
Gulf Stream:It is a river under the ocean which has a velocity of about 2.5 m/s
and can carry away a small plane making a water landing or a boat having engine trouble from its reported position by the current.
Apart from the above mentioned reasons there have been many dramatic and well spun theories or stories circling over these vast areas of the triangle. Even some of the authors put an entirely different version of the story to draw the public attention.But,finally it is unanimously admitted that due to the fluctuations in the magnetic field of the earth and water currents all the tragic incidents have occurred in this area. In spite of the reasons and explanations THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE has always been a hot topic of discussion.
